Shout Outs! 1. Blue Christmas Rock Ridge Elementary is continuing to celebrate its 2015 National Blue Ribbon School status. On Monday, the Hunt High Band led all of the Rock Ridge students in a parade to the flagpole where the official Blue Ribbon flag was raised for the first time. Each grade level created banners, and a special bench was also unveiled. The staff and students wore blue all week and plan to release blue balloons at the end of the day today.   2. Shout Outs! 1. The Wilson Academy of Applied Technology (WAAT) WCS met the funding match necessary to begin work on WAAT, which is set to open as our 26th school in the fall. WAAT is an early college high school based at Beddingfield High and Wilson Community College. Shout Outs! 1. Michael Butts, business teacher, Hunt High Today we remember all those we lost during the 9/11 tragedy 14 years ago. Kudos to Mr. Butts, who is retired from the NC Army National Guard, for commemorating this event in a special way.
