Shout Outs!  1. Administration and Office Staff at Hunt High Kudos to these folks at Hunt for assisting in the planning of a special event on Tuesday for Jeremy Tucker to surprise him as the North Central Region Teacher of the Year. They were absolute vaults with the secret and handled every detail both big and small to ensure it was a special day. Danny Vogelman, assistant superintendent, WCS WCS has been fortunate to have Mr. Vogelman's guidance and expertise as an assistant superintendent, and we will miss him and his family when they leave Wilson in July. Kudos to every school being represented at the Wilson Education Partnership Adult Spelling Bee last night! We had a room full of superheroes trying to utilize their spelling powers. Slam Dunks School/Community Partnerships: Rock Ridge Elementary was presented with a check for $1,050 from Lee Motor Group Chrysler Corporation today. Happy Halloween! Slam Dunks Red Ribbon Week: Our schools do an amazing job celebrating Red Ribbon Week every year with numerous fun activities - everything from wearing red to door decorating contests to one of my faves from Counselor Colleen Raper at Forest Hills Middle - giving out Dum-Dum lollipops with the message "Don't be a Dum-Dum, be drug free!"
