To see pictures for this post, click here!Happy Friday! It has been a hard couple of weeks, and it seems like we have lost a lot of precious people with connections to WCS. In the past, this was not something we sent out in emails or posted on social media (so maybe we just didn't realize how many people we lost each year), but we are so connected now that I feel like it's important to share both the triumphs and the tragedies so we can support and encourage each other. This is what family does!    Shout...

Shout Outs! 1. Let's Hear It for the BoyThe Parent Reunification Training Exercise held March 28 was great! We are grateful to the WCS staff who volunteered, the Wilson Police Department and WC Emergency Management. In 33 minutes, we reunified 100 students with their parents, which means on a grander scale that if a school had 500 students, the process would take 2.5 hours. Knowing this, we can work to reduce the time. A HUGE Shout Out! is in order for The Man Who Thought of Everything Glen...

Your Lesson of the Week  Wise words from a Springfield Middle student - When we went to AVID Day in Charlotte, I learned that you don't need to take the easy way out in school. If you do you might not get the GPA you need or get into the college you want to go to. I also learned that in life you always need to set goals and even if you don't meet every goal, it will make you want to try harder the next time.   Shout Outs! 1. Triple Threat  Three of the awards presented...
