The North Carolina General Statutes (G.S. 130-A-152(a)) require immunizations for every child present in this state. Every parent, guardian or person in loco parentis is responsible for ensuring that their child(ren) receive required immunizations. If you have specific questions, please contact your health care provider or your local health department. North Carolina requires the following immunizations:

Immunizations may be obtained from a family physician or at clinics conducted by the Wilson County Health Department.  Call the Health Department at (252) 237-3141 to schedule appointments for physicals and immunizations as soon as possible if you need this service.

If these immunizations have not been completed within 30 calendar days after the first day of attendance, the child will not be allowed to remain in school.  Because new immunization requirements may vary according to the age of the child and dates of immunizations, parents/guardians should contact their private physician or the local health department for specific details.

If parents/guardians have questions concerning the registration of kindergarten students, they should contact any elementary school principal.
