Artist Re-Inspired by Forest Hills MS Students

News Image

Students in Shelly Maloney's art classes at Forest Hills recently placed their watercolor artwork around Wilson for people to find after learning about a talented artist named Jennifer Gironda who did the same thing with her artwork. When the initial Shout Out! was posted on the WCS Facebook page, Ms. Gironda saw it and commented! She was touched! Here's the latest update - Ms. Maloney met Ms. Gironda during the holidays. They discussed collaborating on a group project and had a great time. On Wednesday, Ms. Gironda posted a blog about Forest Hills. She shared that she had been at a low point in life, but Ms. Maloney and her students brought her out of it and affirmed that she was on the right path as an artist!
