Welcome to Evening School. The purpose of the Evening School is to provide an opportunity for students who are facing unique challenges and circumstances to progress toward graduation.  Students may be recommended to the Evening School for the following reasons:

• The student has previously failed 3 or more core courses and can catch up on credits by focusing on credit recovery for failed courses.
• The student is transferring into the comprehensive high school at a point in the semester when it would be difficult or impossible for him/her to join courses offered during the traditional school day.
• The student is self-supporting or provides significant financial support to his/her family and needs to work during the traditional school day.
• The student has been in the traditional school day schedule but has had difficulty meeting expectations for behavior or attendance and is likely to be more successful in these areas in the Evening School setting.
• Other situations as deemed appropriate by the administration.
