The Wilson County Board of Education and Wilson County Schools prohibit unlawful discrimination, harassment, or bullying, including on the basis of race; color; religion; ancestry; national origin; sex (including gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation); socioeconomic status; academic status; physical appearance; pregnancy or childbirth; age (over 40); mental, physical, development, or sensory disability; or by association with a person who has or is perceived to have one or more of these characteristics.
To promote a safe, orderly, caring, and inviting working and learning environment, the Board has adopted the following:

Policy 1725/4035/7236: Title IX Sexual Harassment - Prohibited Conduct and Reporting Process

Policy 1730/4022/7231: Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disabilities
Policy 1760/7280: Prohibition Against Retaliation
Any person who believes that he or she has been discriminated against, harassed, or bullied by any student, employee, or other person under the supervision and control of Wilson County Schools, is encouraged to obtain the Wilson County Schools Formal Complaint Form, available here online or from their principal or supervisor’s office, and submit the Wilson County Schools Formal Complaint Form to their principal or supervisor, who should also be the first person notified of such complaint.
The Board also prohibits retaliation against any person who has exercised any rights made available through state or federal law or Board policies, including making reports of such violations. Any violation of these policies is considered a serious violation and appropriate action will be taken in response.

The Board has adopted the following policies to govern the resolution of such concerns and complaints:
