I am a 2004 graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in math and science. Growing up, I always wanted to be a teacher. Early on, I wanted to teach elementary school, but as I entered high school, I tutored my middle-school-aged cousin and helped her friends over the phone with homework, which had me changing to middle school education.  I attended Lee Woodard, Speight, and Beddingfield as a student and wanted to give back to the community I grew up in by teaching here.
