WASH Ribbon Cutting

Special thanks to the Wilson Chamber of Commerce for organizing the event. The new WASH facility will serve as a health clinic for all WCS employees as well as students at Beddingfield HS and the Wilson Academy of Applied Technology. There is also a clinic at Forest Hills MS. At WASH, parents can give consent for their child to be provided with health resources so the parent does not miss work and the child remains in the school building. WASH is open during the school year and staffed by a nurse practitioner, a registered nurse and an office manager. The staff provides diagnosis, treatment and resolution of health problems and also performs athletic physicals. Referrals are made to other physicians and health providers as needed. Large portions of both clinics were funded through grants from the Healthcare Foundation of Wilson and staffing is provided by the Wilson County Health Department. WASH is a wonderful example of organizations and businesses in Wilson coming together to serve students!!!
