We will welcome him to Wilson County Schools on May 1 as he transitions with Dr. Wanda Dawson, who has been serving in an interim capacity since January 2. Dr. Parker holds a law degree, a master’s degree in school administration, an educational specialist degree and a doctorate in educational leadership. He has also previously served as an assistant principal, principal, Chief Academic Officer and the Director of Testing and Accountability.
"I am very excited to begin working for Wilson County Schools," said Dr. Parker. "Everyone has been so kind to me, and I look forward to continuing to build on the family atmosphere that I have encountered so far. I am also grateful to Perquimans County Schools for giving me the opportunity to hold multiple leadership roles in a short period of time."
