Principal's Bio
Background: Dr. St.Clair has worked in education for 19 years. He started his career as a lateral entry teacher in Guilford County. He taught 7th grade English Language Arts at Hairston Middle School. He then moved to eastern NC and continued teaching at E.B. Aycock Middle School. Mr. St.Clair transitioned to educational leadership as a part of the NC Principal Fellows program and begin his administrative career at Wellcome Middle School (Pitt County) as an Assistant Principal. Dr. St.Clair's first principal position was at Farmville Middle School (PItt County) and he has since been a principal at two traditional high schools: West Craven High School (Craven County) and Fike High School (Wilson County). Dr. St.Clair is a passionate curriculum leader and loves challenging students and teachers to reach their fullest potential. He is dedicated to changing mindsets, making learning fun, and creating an environment that all students feel they can flourish in. Dr. St.Clair earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from North Carolina A&T State University, his Master of School Administration degree from East Carolina Univeristy, his Education Administration and Supervision (Ed.S.) license from East Carolina University, and his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (Ed.D) degree from East Carolina University. Favorite Team: New York Giants (NFL), Florida Gators (NCAAF), Duke Basketball (NCAAB)
Hobbies: In his spare time Mr. St.Clair loves writing, reading, and playing basketball. He enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family.
