Background:  Mrs. Lewis has worked in education since 2013. She started her career as a science teacher in Craven County. She moved back to Fike High School, where she did her student teaching, and continued teaching for four years. Mrs. Lewis transitioned to educational leadership as a part of the NC Principal Fellows program and began her administrative career at Hunt High School, where she worked as an Assistant Principal for past three years. Mrs. Lewis earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Master of School Administration degree from East Carolina University. She began as the principal of Wilson Early College Academy in July 2024.

 

She resides in Lucama, North Carolina, with her husband and three-year-old son, Emorett.
