• Meal Applications are currently available online at https://www.myschoolapps.com/.

Paper copies are also available at our schools.

During the pandemic, school districts in North Carolina were able to offer breakfast and lunch at no cost to all students through a waiver from the federal government, but unfortunately, that waiver has expired.

Eighteen of our schools are slated to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision, CEP for short, due to meeting a number of requirements set forth by Federal regulations. Students at these CEP schools will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost for the 2022-2023 school year. Meal applications will not have to be submitted for these students. Those schools are: Barnes Elementary, Beddingfield High, Daniels Learning Center, Darden Middle, Frederick Douglass Elementary, Elm City Middle, Fike High, Forest Hills Middle, Gardners Elementary, Hearne Elementary, Jones Elementary, Lee Woodard Elementary, Lucama Elementary, Speight Middle, Stantonsburg Elementary, Vick Elementary, Vinson-Bynum Elementary and Wells Elementary.

At the remaining six schools that are not a part of the CEP program (New Hope Elementary, Rock Ridge Elementary, Springfield Middle, Hunt High, Wilson Academy of Applied Technology and Wilson Early College Academy) breakfast will continue at no cost to students. However, there will be a cost for school lunch, unless the student has been approved for free/reduced lunch. The daily cost for lunch is $2.60. Families of students at these schools are encouraged to complete a meal application to see if the student qualifies for free/reduced price meals. To complete the online meal application to see if your student qualifies for free or reduced lunch, click the link - Meal Application for Free or Reduced Lunch. The online meal application can be viewed and completed in multiple languages. Paper copies are also available at your student’s school or the School Nutrition Office in English and Spanish. Meal applications can be completed at any time, but it is recommended to complete the application prior to the first day of school.
