Mr. David Lyndon, Principal
I am extremely pleased to be able to serve as principal of Wilson Academy of Applied Technology. I also feel fortunate to have worked my entire educational career with Wilson County Schools, serving in various roles including Middle School Math / Science Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and District-Level Administrator. I am a product of Wilson County Schools, graduating from Fike High School. I attended East Carolina University where I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle Grades Education and a Masters in School Administration.
I believe the Early College platform, and specifically the platform utilized at WAAT, provides a great opportunity for our students. While attending the Wilson Academy of Applied Technology, students are preparing for their future. They complete rigorous high school coursework and also complete college-level classes through Wilson Community College. This positions our students to graduate with both a high school diploma AND an Associate Degree, enabling them to transition into a four-year university with two years of credit or directly enter the workforce with a skillset that provides them an advantage over their peers.
