• CLUBS at Speight

We have a variety of different clubs at Speight that allow our students and staff to interact in a relaxing environment while focusing on a common interest. Students pick the club that they wish to attend, and we change clubs mid-year to give students an opportunity to explore other interests. Club options include some of the following favorites: Anime, Lego Masters, Engineering, Athletic Training, Etiquette, Gaming, and FFA (Future Farmers of America). In addition to these options, students can opt to sign up for Gentleman's Agreement and Her PRIDE. Learn more about those clubs below:

    Gentleman’s Agreement Overview

The Gentleman’s Agreement is an achievement program for male students with the intent of offering them personalized support. The young boys selected for the program are identified as leaders or those who have the potential to be leaders. We surround them with positive influences that affirm and celebrate who they are as talented, gifted and contributing members of the community. As a result it is our aim to have them determine who they are and what they can become rather than having society define their value and their worth. The objective of the program is to prepare these young boys with the tools needed to grow up and be able to secure viable employment, create entrepreneurial opportunities for themselves, while being driven by high moral and ethical values. In short the goal is for these students to become Gentlemen

Her P.R.I.D.E. is a program designed to help build self-esteem and confidence in our female students while providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to be effective leaders and caring citizens. We strive to educate and empower these young ladies to make healthy choices in every aspect of their lives by providing personal growth and development services through mentoring and workshops. The objective of Her P.R.I.D.E. is to aid these young ladies in developing their leadership skills as they sharpen the character traits such as honesty, integrity, personal accountability, effective communication, critical thinking, goal setting, and sound decision making. Additional program elements include academic support, community field trips, guest speakers, and many other unique components.
