My name is Cherese Chatman, and it has been my pleasure to be a math teacher at Darden Middle School. I have been an educator for over 20 years. I love what I do! I started teaching after working in a different field in 1999, and I know I am where I belong. I attained my Masters in Education at NC State University. Go Wolfpack!

I believe that ALL students can learn and be successful. My mission is to teach the North Carolina standard course of study, provide a supportive environment, and real life skills needed for students to be ready for an active and successful adulthood.

Hello Parents/Guardian, I look forward to working with your child this year. I have been teaching Science for over 7 years, and have been a part of team Darden for 2 years , where I enjoy working with my students to help prepare them not only to be successful in my class, but also to become successful men and women.

I graduated from University of the West Indies with Bachelor of Science in Management, Brenau University with Masters in Middle Grade Math & Science and Alliance Theological Seminary with Masters in Intercultural Studies.

When I am not teaching I enjoy watching football or the food channel; serving in my Church or visiting with family and friends. I also enjoy cooking and eating Jamaican/Chinese cuisine.
