Reassignment

Wilson County Schools is in the process of changing Student Information Systems and will be completing the scheduling process for the 2025-2026 school year beginning in February. In order to ensure that your student’s schedule is completed early it is important for families to submit reassignment applications as soon as possible. This is especially important for rising 6th and 9th grade students.

To assist with the transition to the new Student Information System, the official reassignment window for the 2025-2026 school year begins February 17, 2025, and the deadline is June 1, 2025. Reassignment applications submitted after June 1, 2025 will be processed on a case-by-case basis. 

If your child is currently attending a school on reassignment, you must complete an application for renewal each year. Please note that certain schools, grades or classes may be capped due to capacity, and may not be available for first time reassignment requests.

Wilson County Schools provides parents with the opportunity to seek reassignment to a school based on criteria established by Board of Education Policy 4150. Families must complete an official Request for Reassignment Form each school year within the prescribed window. Transportation is not provided as a part of reassignment.
