Smithsonian Science Education Center and Johnson & Johnson Support the WCS Teaching & Learning Conference

Shout Out! to the Smithsonian Science Education Center and Johnson & Johnson for joining forces to support our WCS Teaching & Learning Conference on Aug. 14! The Smithsonian Science Education Center facilitated dynamic STEM sessions designed to immerse our teachers in the center’s innovative Smithsonian Science for Global Goals guides, which are filled with hands-on activities that connect science learning to real-world challenges. Leaders from Johnson & Johnson’s new biotherapeutics facility explained the science behind the advanced manufacturing of biologic therapies and shared valuable information about STEM career opportunities that will be available once the new facility is built and commissioned.

By equipping educators with this information, they are helping to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world careers, empowering teachers to spark meaningful conversations with students about future opportunities and inspire them to pursue high-demand, high-impact fields. We are grateful to the Smithsonian Science Education Center and Johnson & Johnson for their support and look forward to continuing our partnership throughout the school year!
