Sunday, Nov 28

Good evening HAWKS FAMILIES.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and that we are ready to return to school tomorrow and work very hard until our next break.  Parents, please remind your student that school is helping to prepare them for their future and they should come to school every day with success on their minds.  It has been a bit challenging for some as we have transitioned back into the school building this year and we have now been back long enough for students to have the routines and procedures established again.

Picture make-ups will be Tuesday, Nov. 30.  If you were absent on the last picture day, please come to school prepared to have your picture taken on Tuesday.

Progress Reports will go home on Wednesday, December 1.

Our basketball season will kick off on Thursday, December 2 at 4:00 as we play West Edgecombe at home.   Come out and support the HAWKS!

We will see everyone tomorrow morning with their chromebooks charged and their masks.

Have a great evening.

Good evening HAWKS Families.  This is Mrs. Sullivan, principal of Toisnot Middle School with updates for this week.

Wednesday, November 24 is now an optional teacher workday.  There is no school for students.  We will be closed November 25 and 26 for Thanksgiving and Fall Break.

Parents, please remind students that they should charge their chromebooks at home each night.  Also, cell phones should be in the off mode and put away during the school day.  Many students are having to be reminded several times during the day to put phones away.  This takes away from instructional time and distracts students from doing thier best.

School begins at 8:30.  Students should be in their classrooms by 8:25.

Let's make it a great week!

Good evening. This is Amber Lynch with a message for staff and families about a change to the traditional school calendar. During last night’s Wilson County Board of Education meeting, the Board voted to change Wed., Nov. 24 from an early release day to an optional teacher workday, which means students will not be in school. That date was already a teacher workday for the early colleges. The 2021-2022 Traditional School Calendar has been updated on the district website. The Board also indicated the possibility of adding an optional teacher workday in February and asked district leaders to suggest a date at a future Board meeting. Thank you.

All athletes and their parents are invited to join us Thursday evening, Nov. 4 at 5:30 for our Fall Athletic Awards.  All famlilies are invited to attend our Accessing School and Community Resources event at 6:30 on Thursday evening.  There will be several agencies represented to assist families.

Parents please remind students that their phones are to be in the off mode and in a bookbag or pocket during the school day.  Phones are a distraction during instructional time.

Have a great evening.
