During the Wilson County Board of Education meeting Monday night, the Board voted to revise the early college and traditional school calendars.
Traditional School Calendar Change: Because many of our schools are used as polling places on Election Day, Tues., Nov. 8 will change from an instructional day to an optional teacher workday. Students will not have school that day.
Early College Calendar Change: To enable WAAT and WECA staff to attend the upcoming district Teaching and Learning Conference, Wed., Aug. 24 has been changed from an instructional day to a mandatory teacher workday. While students will not have high school classes, they will still be expected to complete online work for their college classes.
