Public Hearing Scheduled - May 9, 2022
The Wilson County Board of Education will hold a public hearing on Mon., May 9 at 7 p.m. in the Fike High School Auditorium regarding the possible closure of Winstead Elementary School and Toisnot Middle School. No final decision has been made at this time about closing the schools. All interested citizens who wish to speak on this subject are invited to appear and be heard. Citizens are allowed three minutes to speak and must sign up prior to the public hearing in one of the following ways:
1. In person at the Wilson County Schools Administrative Office (117 NE Tarboro St.). The deadline to sign up at the Administrative Office is noon on the day of the public hearing;
2. In person at Fike High School’s auditorium entrance between 5:00-6:30 p.m. on the day of the public hearing; or
3. By email to publiccomments@wilsonschoolsnc.net. The deadline to sign up by email is noon on the day of the public hearing.
