The 85-year-old Frederick Douglass School building that served as an elementary, middle and high school over the years was recently demolished as work begins on the construction of a new school. To commemorate the school’s rich history, we are giving away bricks from the old building. Everyone is invited to the brick distribution on June 10, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at the school site on Lake Wilson Road in Elm City. We have set a limit to five bricks per person. Come out while the bricks last.
