Bridge and Accelerator Summer Program
Wilson County Schools will be offering several learning opportunities for students this summer at no cost to families. Two of the programs, Bridge and Accelerator, are structured like camps. We have reopened registration for both of these programs if students would still like to apply. The registration deadline is now June 10th.
The first program, Bridge, is a 10-day program for students who will be in 6th, 9th or 12th grade next school year. The rising 6th and 9th graders who are accepted will participate in project-based learning to expose them to different career and technical education areas. The rising seniors will prepare for college or career choices while working on skills such as completing resumes and job applications.
The second program, Accelerator, is open to students who are currently in grades 6-11. This is an 8-day program where students will explore career pathways such as coding and gaming, cooking, business and healthcare. The students will also make connections with local business partners and may even secure an internship or job through this experience.
